Privacy, the short version

We don't use Google Analytics, Meta pixels, Hotjar or any other third-party trackers. You are not the product.

One honest exception: our fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them and Google sees your IP address. We're working on hosting them ourselves.

Cookies

We only set a few small first-party cookies. Nothing from anyone else.

- Language: idun_heimdall_lang, 1 year.

- Login: idun_auth (2 hours, renewed while you're active) and idun_refresh (7 days, or 30 if you tick "remember me"). Only set if you log in.

A few things live only in your own browser's storage: dark or light mode, list or grid view, and game high scores.

You can delete or block all of it in your browser settings. The site still works; logging in won't, obviously.

Our promises

- We never sell or share your data.

- Passwords are hashed. We can't read them even if we wanted to.

- Everything runs on our own servers in the EU.

- If you pay for something, the payment goes through Stripe, and your card details go straight to them, never to us.

The clicks we do count

We count page visits with our own analytics, on our own server, with no third party involved. Each page you visit in a session counts once, no matter how many times you open it. We want to know which posts people actually read, so we can write more of what's useful.
